Photoshop for iPhone

Photoshop released a free application for iPhone and I tested it’s capabilities on a photo of my dog. Below are the original picture and the modified version from the Photoshop application. I applied a black and white filter, adjusted the tint and softened the background. The application’s features are rather spartan, especially compared to the full Photoshop desktop application suite. What it can do is basic cropping, adjusting saturation and other basic photo levels, and applying photo filters like the black and white filter I used. When completed, pictures can be uploaded to a gallery on Photoshop.com or saved locally on the iPhone, at which point they can be emailed or accessed by other applications. The Photoshop application for iPhone seems best suited for tinkering with pictures before sending them to friends or before uploading them to Facebook rather than doing any significant editing.

At least it’s a good software if you only want touchup photos before you post them. Specially because of iPhone’s awful 3mp camera.

In my experience, it’s only usefull to play a little… so, not worthy money.

Unlike the desktop version, though, the iPhone version is free!
